Cycling
Introduction to
Cycling
Cycling is a hugely popular activity in Sheffield and the surrounding region. Mountain bikers are treated to the splendours of Wharncliffe Woods, Parkwood Springs, Lady Canning’s and the Peak district trails. Road cyclists have the expanse of the Peak District, with many quiet rural roads and lanes to explore. In both cases we are always treated to plenty of elevation!
Whilst cycling is a relatively low risk sport for injuries, there are some common complaints (such as back pain and knee pain) that come from long periods in the saddle, as well at the occasional fall which can cause injury. Luckily you will find the White House Physiotherapy clinic host a number of clinicians who can assess and treat you and help you get back cycling as soon as possible. At the clinic we have highly skilled physiotherapists who have years of treating a huge range of sports injuries, as well a Sports Specialist Doctor. They are all on hand to assist you in your recovery when needed.
We are able to offer treatment including rehabilitation exercises, manipulation, soft tissue release, training advice, shockwave, k-taping and acupuncture. We make sure we will offer the most appropriate and best treatment for you after a detailed analysis and assessment. We also offer Yoga and Pilates classes which can greatly complement cycling. We pride ourselves on serving the local sports community for many years and helping to keep everyone fit, active and enjoying the outdoors.
