Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice that links the physical, metal and spiritual body. Our Yoga classes at the White House Clinic incorporate breathwork, asana’s (postures) and mindfulness. The regular practice of Yoga enhances strength, flexibility and balance. In addition to relaxation and improving mental focus. Our studio classes are run by Joy and Emma.
Our instructor Joy is trained in both Pilates and Yoga and brings her Yorkshire passion for both principles to the White House Clinic Studio. You can choose to follow the exacting principles of Yoga and join Joy in her Yoga class on Thursdays. The practice of Yoga can help you to live a healthier and more mindful lifestyle. Calming the mind and helping you to feel stronger both physically and mentally. Hatha Yoga involves careful stretching and alignment of the body and mind, followed by deep relaxation. Joy teaches on Thursdays at 17:30.
Emma is a Physiotherapist and did her 200-hour Yoga teacher training in Ubud, Bali. She offers a vinyasa style of Yoga which is slightly faster dynamic flow, linking movement to breath. This practice starts by warming up the body, sun salutations then progressing towards a more fluid flow creating a sequence of movements. Before cooling down and finishing in shavasana to help relax the mind and spirit. This style of yoga has many benefits on the body including improving flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus. The level can be adapted for those new to yoga, a basic fitness level is recommended. Emma teaches on a Wednesday at 16:15.
Alongside Joy and Emma’s expert tuition, Yoga at The White House is backed by an expert team of Physiotherapists and clinicians.
