Our Respiratory Physiotherapist Hannah qualified from Coventry university in 2007 with a BSC (hons)in physiotherapy.
Since then she has worked in both adults and paediatric hospitals gaining experience in all areas of physiotherapy, the majority of her time working with adults was spent working with patients who have long term respiratory conditions such as cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, COPD and pulmonary fibrosis. In 2013 Hannah specialised in paediatric physiotherapy and has 9 years experience working with children aged 0-16 with cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), protracted bacterial bronchitis and neurological conditions which impair children’s ability to cough and clear their chests effectively.
Hannah offers specialist respiratory assessment of a wide range of conditions both adult and paediatric. She can treat varying degrees of respiratory symptoms with airway clearance techniques, breathlessness management, reducing the frequency of cough and improving exercise tolerance.
Within her NHS role Hannah is the lead cystic fibrosis physiotherapist for South Yorkshire and Humber, she is vice chair of the Cystic fibrosis non medical prescriber group and is regularly involved in research and national guidance for paediatric respiratory physiotherapy.
Outside of work Hannah enjoys paddle boarding, long walks in the peaks with her dog and spending time with her 2 children.
