We are no longer be running our Combined Pre & Postnatal Pilates group classes in our studio.

We are now offering a more bespoke package of pre and postnatal pregnancy care which includes 1:1 pilates sessions and massage therapy.

Antenatal & Postnatal Pilates is a Pilates class specifically tailored by our instructor Joy. Previously running Thursdays in our studio at our Sheffield Main (Sandygate) Clinic, the content of this group class can now be enjoyed on an individual basis, 1:1 sessions tailored for mums-to-be as well as ladies wanting postnatal recovery.

Designed to build core strength and prevent injury during pregnancy and throughout your postnatal recovery. Expert advice is provided, leading up to birth and a safe and fun environment for you and baby following your postnatal check-up.

Antenatal and Postnatal Massage Therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, improve labour outcomes and new-born health. Massage therapy addresses different needs through varying techniques.

Antenatal massage can also:

  • Reduce back & joint pain
  • Improve circulation
  • Reduce swelling
  • Reduce muscle tension & headaches
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Improved oxygenation of soft tissues and muscles
  • Aid better sleep

Pilates 1:1 (4 x 1 hour sessions) £175

Pilates 1:1 (1 hr) PLUS 1 hr Massage £95

Antenatal Pilates

Antenatal Pilates is designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, keeping core muscles healthy in preparation for birth. During each trimester, safe exercises will be encouraged, helping to mainatin strength during birth and aid postnatal recovery.

The sessions will look at pelvic and spinal mobility & relaxation whilst gently keeping the body strong through safe exercise

Postnatal Pilates

Once you have undergone medical clearance from your healthcare professional (6 weeks/12 weeks for c-section) our Postnatal class involves safe exercises for the pelvis, abdominals & back muscles, encouraged at a rate that feels comfortable for each individual. Babies are welcome at the classes and can be involved with some of the exercises for a safe, fun, bonding experience. Being with other mums can help combat isolation so we've made time to share a conversation after the session.

Backed by your Sheffield Private Pregnancy Care consultants Mr Roobin Johki and Professor Dilly Anumba, alongside the expert knowledge of the White House Studio team, we can support you through every stage of your pre and postnatal journey.
